Ghebreyesus: Access to HIV treatment disrupted at 82 facilities in Haiti
Geneva, May 23 (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus held a meeting with Haiti’s Health Minister Sinal Bertrand to discuss the country's urgent health needs.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus met with Haiti’s Health Minister Sinal Bertrand to discuss the urgent health needs in the country, especially for internally displaced persons, camp residents, and refugees.
Ghebreyesus stated that access to HIV treatment has been severely disrupted at 82 facilities since the recent aid cuts. “I assured the Health Minister that WHA78 will provide support to mitigate the health impacts of the dire security situation,” he said.
