Fuel support for farmers in Bulgaria
Sofia, October 27 (Hibya) – Farmers in Bulgaria will receive a tax reduction of 0.42 leva per liter of diesel used in agricultural production in 2024.
Farmers in Bulgaria will benefit in 2024 from a tax reduction of 0.42 leva per liter of diesel fuel used for agricultural production. The reduction was established by a decree signed by Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Georgi Tahov.
Under the state support program titled “Excise duty reduction on diesel used in primary agricultural production,” the annual budget may reach up to 100 million leva. It is planned that more than 92 million leva will be paid to over 14,000 farmers, with the remaining amount to be paid at the beginning of 2026.
