Fletcher: We are determined to deliver aid to the Afghan people
New York, April 27 (Hibya) – UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher visited Kabul.
UN Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher announced that he arrived in Kabul for a one-week visit along with humanitarian teams operating across Afghanistan.
In a statement, Fletcher said: "The number of people in need is very large, the political environment is complex, and funding has been severely cut. But we, as the UN, are here and determined to deliver aid to the Afghan people."
