EU Commissioner Lahbib thanks Cyprus
Nicosia, May 7 (Hibya)- European Union (EU) Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib thanked Cyprus for its contributions during its presidency of the EU Council and announced that significant progress had been made in crisis management reform and forest fire center efforts.

In a statement addressed to Cyprus Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, Lahbib stated that significant progress had been made regarding the revision of the crisis management framework.
The statement also noted that efforts toward the implementation of the Cyprus Forest Fire Center were progressing positively.
It was emphasized that cooperation between the EU and Cyprus had strengthened, especially in the fields of disaster management and crisis preparedness.
