Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to a statement from Bulgaria's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Minister Natalia Efremova told Parliament that approximately 67,000 elderly people living alone and citizens with disabilities will continue receiving free hot lunches in 2027.

The Ministry has allocated additional funding for this social assistance under the "Food and Basic Material Assistance" programme through July 2027.

Minister Efremova stated that this support, which is co-financed by European Union (EU) funds, will be extended until the end of 2027, when the current programming period expires.

The statement also noted that, from 1 August 2026, the cost of one hot lunch portion will increase from €1.86 to €2.10 in order to reflect inflation and maintain food quality.

Efremova added that funding transferred to municipalities as part of the long-term fight against poverty and social isolation will also be increased, enabling beneficiaries to be referred more easily to other support mechanisms, including healthcare and social services.
