Death toll in Lebanon rises to 1,029
Beirut, March 23 (Hibya) - Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health announced that the number of people killed in ongoing Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 1,029, while the number of injured has reached 2,786.
According to CCTV, 5 people were killed and 46 injured in Sunday’s attacks across the country.
According to official data, Israeli warplanes struck the strategic Qasmiyeh Bridge over the Litani River in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the army to “immediately” destroy all bridges over the Litani River allegedly used by Hezbollah.
Hezbollah stated on Sunday night that it carried out rocket and drone attacks against Israeli military targets and shot down an Israeli UAV over southern Lebanon.
Airstrikes across the region are intensifying, and the humanitarian situation is worsening.
