Prime Minister Carney stated that he met with the leaders of the Coalition of the Willing to discuss continued support for Ukraine.

Highlighting that common principles unite them, Carney said: “Decisions regarding Ukraine’s future must be made by the people of Ukraine, international borders cannot be changed by force, and diplomatic efforts must be reinforced through military and economic pressure to bring an end to Russia’s unjust war of aggression.”

Carney emphasized that it is essential to secure reliable guarantees so that Ukraine can defend its territorial integrity and sovereignty, adding: “We welcome the leadership shown by the United States in achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine in the upcoming negotiations.”
