Budrys: We are ready to strengthen NATO's defensive posture
Vilnius, September 14 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said that Lithuania stands shoulder to shoulder with Romania and is ready to strengthen NATO’s defensive posture.
Budrys noted that Russia’s violations of NATO airspace have increased, and the entry of drones into Romania is another attempt to test the borders.
He stressed that NATO is already responding, as seen with the “Eastern Sentry” operation and the strengthening of its stance on the Eastern flank, and added:
“The EU must also increase its pressure on Russia by imposing tougher sanctions and boosting its financial support for Ukraine. Putin will continue to test us if we let him. NATO’s frontline must be armed to the teeth so that no one dares to question our resolve.”
Budrys emphasized that Lithuania stands shoulder to shoulder with Romania and is ready to strengthen NATO’s defensive posture.
