Vilnius, August 9 (Hibya) - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys said that the agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will pave the way for stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
Foreign Minister Budrys stated that Lithuania welcomes the initialing of the historic agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Emphasizing that this important step toward lasting peace will pave the way for stability, cooperation, and prosperity in the South Caucasus and beyond, Budrys said: "We appreciate the role and leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump in facilitating this historic agreement. We look forward to the swift conclusion and ratification of the Peace Treaty."
Budrys noted that Europe is ready to support the implementation of the next steps.
