Australia launches new partnership with the Red Cross
Canberra, October 28 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong announced a new partnership agreement with the Australian Red Cross.
Minister Wong noted that the Australian Red Cross, which has been a trusted institution nationwide for 111 years, is now also an important partner at the regional level.
According to the statement, Australia will invest in a new eight-year cooperation program aimed at strengthening locally led disaster response in the Indo-Pacific region.
The program aims to enhance the Australian Red Cross’s capacity to respond quickly and effectively to regional disasters.
