Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi said the US financial structure is going through a fragile period, arguing that confidence in the American financial system is declining globally.

Referring to the US Treasury Secretary’s stance, Arakchi said: “The US Treasury Secretary keeps boasting with great pleasure about his desire to impoverish Iranians and collapse our economy.”

Assessing the state of the American financial system, Arakchi said: “Meanwhile, as the world loses confidence in the US financial system, he himself has been left in a helpless and vulnerable position.”

Arakchi concluded his statement by saying: “The collapse driven by the cost of financing US debt is only the beginning.”
