Araghchi: Iran has always been open to diplomatic dialogue
Tehran, October 14 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran has always been open to diplomatic dialogue based on respect and mutual benefit.
Foreign Minister Araghchi argued that a false narrative had been imposed on US President Trump, claiming that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program was on the verge of weaponization this spring, saying, “This is an outright lie, and the President should have been informed, as confirmed by his own intelligence agencies, that there is no evidence to support such a claim.”
Araghchi added that claiming to be a “president of peace” while one’s hand bombs homes is a clear contradiction, stating:
“Mr. Trump can be either a president of peace or a president of war — he cannot be both. Iran has always been open to diplomatic dialogue based on respect and mutual benefit. The Iranian people, noble heirs of an ancient and rich civilization, respond to goodwill with goodwill, but they also know how to resist injustice and imposition. The war-mongers in Tel Aviv have learned this bitterly.”
Araghchi concluded, “However, we agree with the President on one point: Iran should not be used as a pretext for normalization with Israel.”
