Ottawa, July 24 (Hibya) - Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand spoke about the strategic steps Canada is taking to adapt its foreign policy to the changing global economic order.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand assessed her country's foreign policy approach, highlighting efforts to renew international partnerships and expand economic opportunities.
Referring to changes in the global economy, Anand said: "Canada is adapting its foreign policy to a global economic order undergoing profound transformation by renewing its relationships, advancing its economic interests, and creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses through expanded trade and investment."
Speaking about the benefits of this strategy, Anand stated: "This approach strengthens our strategic autonomy and promotes sustainable economic growth in Canada."
Highlighting recently concluded international agreements, Anand concluded: "In the past year alone, we have signed more than 20 security and economic agreements across five continents, and more are on the way."
