Zelensky: We are determining the targets of our next sanctions against Russia
Kyiv, May 15 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky touched upon the country’s defense strategies and the institutional efforts carried out against Russia’s attacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he held a meeting with the heads of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Defense Intelligence, the Foreign Intelligence Service, and the Security Service of Ukraine, during which they discussed three key issues.
Sharing details about the content of the meeting and the identified targets, Zelensky said: “Because of this war and the attacks on our cities and villages, we are determining the targets of our next long-term sanctions against Russia.”
Emphasizing the legal and military legitimacy of the responses to the attacks, Zelensky stated: “Our responses against Russia’s oil industry, military production, and those committing war crimes against Ukraine and Ukrainians are fully justified.”
Thanking the institutions and soldiers involved in the defense sector, Zelensky concluded his statement by saying: “I am grateful to our warriors and all relevant Ukrainian institutions for their dedication to defending Ukraine’s interests and for building a truly strong system of long-term sanctions. It is having a tangible effect.”
