President Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine never wanted war but has the right to defend itself, its independence, and its people.

He noted that this right is guaranteed to Ukraine by international law, the United Nations Charter, and basic human common sense. “Ukraine has the right to defend itself. I am especially grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine for exercising this right with great success. The most important thing the 'Spider Web' Operation proved is this: the war is now causing real losses and damages to the aggressor as well. This is the restoration of justice. And this is pressure toward real peace,” Zelensky said.
