Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Israel has found the body of Canadian woman Judih Weinstein, who was killed by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Organization on October 7, a year and a half later.

Carney stated that Judih, a mother, grandmother, and teacher, dedicated her life to guiding others with empathy, generosity, and humanity. “May her memory be a source of comfort, and may the return of her remains help her family begin to overcome their grief. Today's news will be painful for the Jewish community in Canada, whose safety is threatened by the deplorable resurgence of antisemitism. We are combating this terrible rise in hatred by introducing new protective measures within the community. In this way, we will ensure the safety of Canadians of Jewish faith,” he said.
