In his statement, President Zelensky noted that the energy system is one of the foundations of normal life. “Light and heat are things it is impossible to live without,” Zelensky said, adding that for nearly four years Russia has deliberately tried to destroy this foundation for millions of Ukrainians.

Zelensky also said:

“I thank all our repair teams that restore the grids and generation facilities damaged by strikes; everyone who stabilizes our energy system day and night, ensuring electricity supply and the operation of power plants and other energy facilities; and everyone working on the front lines to bring back everything people need for normal life.”
