Zelensky: Our joint diplomatic and defense efforts will bring security and peace to Ukraine
Kyiv, December 26 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during talks with the leaders of Canada, the Netherlands, Estonia, Germany and Denmark that coordination in both diplomatic and military fields is vital, stressing that joint efforts on national security, drone defense and ending the war are critical.

Describing his conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney as “very good,” Zelensky said Canada clearly understands the importance of working together on security and reconstruction, adding that he briefed on documents being prepared with the United States and cooperation with coalition partners.
In talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Zelensky noted coordination of positions ahead of upcoming diplomatic meetings in Florida, stressing: “Ukraine is never and under no circumstances an obstacle to peace,” and emphasizing that Europe’s security policies must support Ukraine and the entire continent.
During his meeting with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal, Zelensky shared the latest developments in negotiations with the United States and thanked Estonia for its supportive role, highlighting the importance of air defense and energy infrastructure projects under the SAFE and PURL programs.
Zelensky also discussed the domestic military situation, measures against drone attacks, detection and prevention of Shahed drones, modernization of drone distribution systems, and risks of attacks via Belarus.

In his meeting with Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen, he shared details of the negotiation process and stressed the importance of effective cooperation with the United States, thanking Denmark for its $90 billion financial security support during its EU presidency.
Summarizing the common message of all meetings, Zelensky said: “Europe grows stronger with every joint step we take. Our joint diplomatic and security efforts protect Ukraine and Europe. Russia’s responsibility is clear: Moscow is responsible for prolonging the war and delaying peace.”
He called on all partners to continue diplomatic and military cooperation and contribute to Ukraine’s security.
