Zelensky stated that he spoke with Prime Minister Carney and congratulated the Liberal Party on their victory in the Canadian federal elections.

He informed Carney about the aftermath of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine and said, “Strengthening our air defense remains our top priority. As Russia increases its production of ballistic missiles, we need protection against them.”

Zelensky noted that they would coordinate decisions with their partners and added, “We also discussed Canada’s G7 presidency this year and our cooperation within the Coalition of the Willing. We are preparing various formats of collaboration in the near future. Thank you, Canada, for your support. We count on effective cooperation.”
