Ukrainian President Zelensky said Russia carried out a drone attack on a residential building in Kyiv in the morning.

Zelensky said a 14-year-old child was killed and 7 people were injured in the attack. He added that the fire in the area had been extinguished and emergency teams were continuing their work following the incident.

Zelensky said 8 regions of Ukraine had come under attack since the start of the day. He said one person was killed in an attack on a postal facility in Odesa, while a medical clinic in Zaporizhzhia was struck while people were inside, and that there were also injuries in the Sumy and Mykolaiv regions.

Zelensky said they had conveyed to partners during meetings in recent days their assessment that Russia would intensify its attacks as winter approached, adding that US sanctions needed to be implemented and European sanctions strengthened for diplomatic efforts to produce results.
