Wong: Australia and Germany are middle powers with shared values
Canberra, February 6 (Hibya) – Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said that Australia and Germany are middle powers that share common values.
Australian Foreign Minister Wong stated that Australia and Germany are middle powers with shared values, saying: “They are working together to shape a world where no country dominates and no country is dominated. I hosted the German Foreign Minister in Australia, and we agreed to take our strategic partnership to a new level.”
Saying that they want deeper, higher-level and more frequent exchanges, and especially to work together in the Indo-Pacific region, Wong added:
“We are strengthening our cooperation on climate action and renewable energy, economic security, supply chain resilience, and critical minerals. By working together, we know we can deliver better outcomes for our peoples and build a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.”
