WHO: Persons with disabilities cannot wait for health equity
Geneva, April 2 (Hibya) – The World Health Organization (WHO) emphasized that people with disabilities make up 16% of the global population and cannot wait for health equity.
In a statement by WHO, it was noted that 16% of the world's population consists of persons with disabilities.
It was emphasized that many face preventable, unfair, and worse health outcomes. “The Global Disability Summit is a key moment to drive change. Health equity for persons with disabilities cannot wait,” the statement read.
