President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen sent a message of support to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. She stated that she was acting together with European Council President Charles Michel, emphasizing that their priority is a full and unconditional ceasefire.

In her statement, von der Leyen said: “We stand in full solidarity with President Zelensky. Our priority is to achieve an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.”

She also noted that pressure on Russia is increasing: “We are increasing pressure to bring Putin to the negotiating table. We are imposing tough sanction packages on Russia one after another.”
