President von der Leyen stated that Europe acts in unity whenever a disaster strikes any part of the continent, saying: “In total, our support is reaching approximately €1 billion. This is a tangible expression of the EU’s solidarity with all Spaniards who are still carrying the burden of pain and loss. Spain, today and always: Europe is with you.”
