Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov made a statement regarding his meeting with Algerian Minister of Mines and Mining Industries Mourad Hanifi.

Saidov said relations between Uzbekistan and Algeria are developing across various fields, noting that during his visit to Algeria in June he discussed future areas of cooperation with Hanifi and that the latest meeting was a continuation of that dialogue.

The meeting addressed opportunities for cooperation in the geological exploration of mineral resources, the development of potential mineral deposits and the implementation of joint projects.

The parties also discussed prospects for cooperation in the deep processing of raw materials and the production of higher value-added products.
