UNRWA: Needs in Gaza are immense
New York, January 20 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement regarding the current situation in Gaza.
In its statement, UNRWA reported that in the Gaza Strip people are waiting in long lines in the cold and barefoot to obtain food.
Noting that the needs in Gaza are immense, the statement said: “UNRWA continues to support the most vulnerable people in Gaza, but we could do much more if the obstruction of our humanitarian assistance were lifted.”
The statement emphasized that aid must be allowed to reach people without hindrance.
