Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand stated that relations between Canada and Switzerland are strong and based on people-to-people ties and a commitment to the rules-based international order, saying, “Canada and Switzerland share a strong relationship grounded in people-to-people ties and adherence to the rules-based international order.”

Anand noted that she met with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis within the framework of the World Economic Forum, adding, “Today at the World Economic Forum, we met with my Swiss counterpart to discuss strengthening Arctic security and protecting the region.”
