UNRWA announces expansion of operations in Gaza City
New York, October 21 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) announced that it has expanded its operations in Gaza City.
UNRWA announced that it has expanded its operations in Gaza City. The agency’s statement read:
“UNRWA is expanding its operations in Gaza City, resuming health services, emergency shelters, water distribution, and solid waste collection; the removal of unexploded ordnance remains critical to ensuring the safety of civilians.
With the start of the 2025 olive harvest season in the West Bank (since October 9), violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinian communities and agriculture – including attacks on olive trees and harassment of harvesters – continues.”
