UNRWA: 250,000 people in the Gaza Strip received water during the first half of October
New York, October 31 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that it continues to operate wells, purification systems, and water distribution networks to ensure access to clean water for thousands of displaced families in Gaza.
In a statement, UNRWA said it continues its efforts to provide access to water for displaced people in the Gaza Strip. Teams are maintaining the operation of wells and purification systems while delivering water by tankers to those in need.
UNRWA announced that around 250,000 displaced persons received water during the first half of October. The statement added: “Access to water must be safe, sufficient, and available to all.”
