According to a UN statement, High Commissioner Volker Türk emphasized that the Myanmar military has continued airstrikes and other assaults against opposition forces, despite the ceasefire and the week since the deadly earthquake.

Human Rights Office spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani said, "Following last week's deadly earthquake that struck central Myanmar, the military resumed its operations, including airstrikes initiated shortly after the tremors subsided."

According to the latest data from the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), at least 61 attacks have been reported across Myanmar since the day of the disaster. Of these, 16 have occurred since the ceasefire declared by the military came into effect on April 2.
