Speaking at the UN Security Council, Andrii Sybiha emphasized that Russia is the sole source of the war in Ukraine and the main reason it continues. He noted that Ukraine accepted the US-proposed full ceasefire plan 50 days ago, but Russia rejected the offer and escalated its attacks, intensifying terror against civilians.

Sybiha thanked France for organizing the meeting under its presidency of the Security Council, noting that the initiative drew global attention to Russia’s ongoing barbaric assaults and the need for a just peace.

“I thank all UN Security Council members who expressed strong solidarity with Ukraine, openly condemned Russian terror, and called on Moscow to immediately declare a full ceasefire and activate the peace process,” Sybiha stated.
