Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France.

Sybiha noted that the meeting addressed Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, the situation on the frontline, and diplomatic efforts toward a comprehensive peace.

He emphasized the need to increase pressure on the aggressor and strengthen adherence to international law in order to make progress in the peace process.

Within the bilateral agenda, cooperation on food security and Ukrainian grain exports to Egypt were discussed.

Sybiha also welcomed the easing of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, stressing its importance for global economic stability, energy markets, and freedom of maritime trade.

Sybiha invited Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdelatty to Kyiv, and both sides agreed to continue practical cooperation.
