Ukraine elected to UNESCO Executive Board
Kyiv, November 7 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine has been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2025–2029 term with the highest number of votes.
President Zelensky announced that Ukraine has been elected to the UNESCO Executive Board for the 2025–2029 term with the highest vote share.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine, together with Romania and Moldova, surpassed Russia, which lost the elections for the second time and remained outside the board.
Thanking the member states for their support, Zelensky said, “Together with our partners, we will use all the opportunities provided by UNESCO to rebuild life and defend our culture, heritage, and people.”
