UAE: Missile and drone attacks from Iran are being countered
Abu Dhabi, April 3 (Hibya) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense confirmed that the explosion sounds heard across the country occurred as air defense systems destroyed missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.
The UAE Ministry of Defense issued a statement regarding attempted attacks on the country's airspace and the operational status of its defense systems.
The statement noted that defense units are responding to threats at full capacity.
Regarding the nature of the attacks, the ministry stated:
"The United Arab Emirates' air defense systems are currently countering missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks from Iran. The Ministry of Defense confirms that the sounds heard in various parts of the country are the result of air defense systems engaging ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles."
