Baqaei: Throughout history, Iranians have been guardians of cypress trees
Tehran, April 3 (Hibya) - Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei emphasized that planting trees and protecting nature are deeply rooted wisdom in Iranian culture, stating that the nation of love will continue to plant green saplings with hope for the future.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made a statement highlighting the historical connection of the Iranian people with nature and the cultural significance of tree planting.
Referring to Iranians’ approach to nature, Baqaei said: "Throughout history, Iranians have been guardians of 'greenery' and 'cypress trees'. Today, every Iranian plants a tree as an expression of wisdom rooted in their culture and as a meaningful act of their time".
Delivering a message for the future, Baqaei concluded: "Let the darkness trapped in the illusion of understanding 'today' and planning 'tomorrow' suffer from the deception of the 'Stone Age'; let the nation of love plant a green sapling that will spread its branches and leaves toward 'tomorrow'".
