Trump: Our relationship with Iraq has moved beyond a military presence
Washington, July 14 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump said oil companies operating in Iraq have established new partnerships, adding that relations between the two countries are now based more on economic cooperation than on a military presence.
U.S. President Donald Trump said relations with Iraq are advancing on the basis of economic partnerships.
Trump stated that oil companies have expanded their operations in Iraq and are working in harmony with Iraqi partners, adding that the relationship between the two countries has now moved beyond a military presence.
Trump also said the United States is prepared to defend Iraq if necessary, but does not believe that will be needed. He argued that Iran had been a significant burden on Iraq in the past, but claimed that would no longer be the case.
