Trump attends APEC CEO Summit in South Korea
Gyeongju, October 29 (Hibya) – US President Donald J. Trump, speaking at the 2025 APEC CEO Summit held in Gyeongju, South Korea, described South Korea as “a close friend and ally” and emphasized improvements in the US economy.
US President Donald J. Trump attended the 2025 APEC CEO Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea. After landing in Busan, Trump proceeded to the summit, where he highlighted the importance of relations with South Korea and the success of the American economy.
“The Republic of Korea is a dear friend and close ally of America... It is one of the most remarkable nations on Earth,” Trump said.
The president described his administration’s approach in these words:
 “My administration has rejected the old, incompetent model of government that punished success and rewarded failure... We are making America the best place in the world to do business.”
Trump also touched on recent economic progress: “In nine months, we have lifted more than 600,000 Americans off food stamps. Workers’ wages are rising at the fastest rate in over 60 years; energy, gasoline, grocery, and mortgage costs are falling.”
He concluded, “When America prospers, our partners prosper, and our alliances grow stronger.”
