In a post on Truth Social, Trump described the movement as “a sick, dangerous, radical left catastrophe force.” He wrote: “I will strongly recommend allowing a thorough investigation into anyone funding ANTIFA’s activities.”

His remarks came after his advisor Stephen Miller vowed that the government would dismantle a large domestic terrorist organization, which he linked to the murder of influential conservative Charlie Kirk.

Since his first term, Trump has blamed Antifa for everything he dislikes, from violence against police to the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. Although combating domestic terrorism in the U.S. falls under federal law enforcement agencies, there is no specific list of “domestic terrorist organizations.”
