Sybiha: We value our strong partnership with Australia
Kyiv, September 18 (Hibya) — Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said Australia is helping to curb Russia’s ability to finance the war and undermine global peace by lowering the oil price cap and imposing targeted sanctions on 95 ships of the shadow fleet.
Minister Sybiha expressed gratitude to the Australian Government and Foreign Minister Penny Wong for their steadfast support for Ukraine and for upholding international law.
Noting that Australia, by reducing the cap on Russian oil and applying targeted sanctions to 95 shadow-fleet vessels, helps restrict Russia’s ability to fund the war and undermine global peace, Sybiha said: “We value our strong partnership with Australia and continue to stand together for our shared values.”
