Sybiha: We are focused on implementing agreements with Japan
Tokyo, July 11 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with Japanese Ambassador Masashi Nakagome and representatives of JICA and JETRO to discuss the implementation of the understandings reached during his visit to Tokyo.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that he met with Japanese Ambassador Masashi Nakagome and representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
Sybiha stated that they reviewed the steps needed to implement the understandings reached during his visit to Japan last week, adding: "Our dialogue continues, but we are now focused on implementation."
The meeting addressed strengthening Ukraine's energy infrastructure ahead of winter, advancing reconstruction projects carried out with JICA, and increasing the participation of Japanese companies in Ukraine's reconstruction through JETRO.
Sybiha thanked Japan for its decision to support the restoration of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra through UNESCO and for its grant support to a scholarship program aimed at developing human resources.
