Sybiha: Ukraine elected to the UN Economic and Social Council in the first round
Kyiv, June 4 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that Ukraine was elected to the United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the 2026–2028 term in the first round.

Sybiha stated that Ukraine will work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promote solidarity, and build a more inclusive, fair, and resilient world for all. “We congratulate all elected member states who defend the UN Charter and reject all attempts to undermine international law. We look forward to working closely to uphold shared values and make tangible progress,” he said.
