Minister Budrys extended his congratulations to Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard and the Swedish people on their National Day.

In a post on social media, Budrys referred to Stenergard as “my colleague and friend” and emphasized his commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation between the two countries.

“On the occasion of Sweden’s National Day, I sincerely congratulate my friend and colleague, Foreign Minister Maria Stenergard, and all the people of Sweden,” Budrys stated, reaffirming Lithuania’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and Nordic-Baltic cooperation with Sweden.

Budrys also stressed that their support for Ukraine against Russian aggression would continue: “We will continue working together for a safer Baltic region and stand by Ukraine until it prevails over Russia.”
