Sybiha: It is important that Greece supports the EU’s sanctions policy
Luxembourg, October 20 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized the importance of Greece supporting the European Union’s sanctions policy as part of peace efforts.
Foreign Minister Sybiha stated that he held a comprehensive meeting with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis and expressed his gratitude for Greece’s support to Ukraine and its path toward EU membership.
He said that they agreed the path to peace must not be to Ukraine’s detriment and that the aggressor should not be rewarded, adding: “It is important that Greece supports the EU’s sanctions policy as part of the peace efforts.”
Sybiha added that they discussed in detail their bilateral agenda and recent geopolitical developments, and that he briefed his counterpart at the highest level on the Ukraine–US dialogue and their vision of the peace process.
