Starmer: We will strengthen Britain's defense
London, June 1 (Hibya) - UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that in a more dangerous world and at a time of rising living costs, they will strengthen Britain's defense.
Starmer stated that national security and economic security go hand in hand.
"We will build new weapons factories. Through this, we will create skilled job opportunities and support workers across the country," he said.
Starmer emphasized that national security is at the heart of their plans for change:
"We will deliver the biggest and most sustained increase in defense spending since the Cold War. We will invest in better housing for military families. We will create more skilled jobs in the new weapons factories. And this is just the beginning."
