Zelensky: Strengthening our defense is vital unless signals of ceasefire come from Russia
Vilnius, June 2 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda in Vilnius.
Briefing Nausėda about the second round of negotiations in Istanbul, Zelensky stated: “As long as there are no meaningful signals from Russia to end the war, strengthening our defense and especially investing in Ukrainian production is of vital importance. This is the foundation for peace talks.”
He added that they also discussed sanctions pressure, European integration, and reconstruction: “We coordinated our diplomatic efforts. Thank you for the summit invitation and all the support provided.”
