Starmer: Tackling the cost of living is my top priority
London, February 2 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that tackling the cost of living is his priority, announcing that 300,000 children will benefit from a free breakfast program starting in April.
UK Prime Minister Starmer made an assessment regarding the cost of living.
Starmer said in his statement, “I grew up in a working-class family. That’s why I understand very well what parents who are struggling to make ends meet are going through.”
Emphasizing that tackling the cost of living is his priority, Starmer stated, “That is why fighting the cost of living is my number one priority.”
Referring to the program to be implemented from April, Starmer added, “From April, 300,000 children will benefit from free breakfast clubs. This measure will directly support parents’ household budgets.”
