Shaheen met with activists and civil society organizations
Ramallah, February 10 (Hibya) - Palestinian Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates, Farsin Aghabekian Shaheen, met with young activists and representatives of civil society organizations to discuss ways to enhance public diplomacy and integrate national efforts.
Palestinian Foreign Minister Shaheen met with a group of young activists and civil society representatives working in the field of international relations and provided information about the latest steps and efforts made by the ministry to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and strengthen the position of the State of Palestine on the international stage.
Mohammed Rabah, Chairman of the Reform Foundation's Board of Directors, provided an informative talk about the key role of civil society organizations and young activists, the importance of integrating official and public-level diplomatic work, and the importance of consistency between the two efforts.
During the meeting, mechanisms for coordination and cooperation between the Ministry and civil society organizations and activists working in international relations were discussed. The importance of public diplomacy and its complementary role to official diplomacy were also emphasized, along with the need for integration of government and community efforts in the service of the highest national interest.
Activists discussed the importance of unifying the national discourse to support the Palestinian national project and place its just narrative on international platforms, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation among various parties.
