Shaheen calls on the Netherlands to recognize the State of Palestine
Ramallah, November 7 (Hibya) – Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Farsin Aghabekian Shaheen met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, David van Weel, to discuss developments in the political and humanitarian situation in Palestine.

Shaheen emphasized that peace on one front is not enough, that all occupied Palestinian territories must be seen as a single entity, and that Gaza and the West Bank should not be treated separately. She stressed that the two-state solution remains the only framework capable of ensuring security and stability in the region.
Minister Shaheen highlighted the urgent need to review the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, sustain the ceasefire, return children to school, and resume health services.
David van Weel reaffirmed his country’s commitment to the two-state solution as the only path to achieving security and stability in the region and reiterated the Netherlands’ support for the Palestinian Authority and its reform efforts. He added that his country would contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction efforts.
