Sandu: Russia’s attacks on civilian energy infrastructure are war crimes
Chișinău, March 24 (Hibya) - Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated that Russia’s attacks targeting energy networks in Ukraine have cut Moldova’s strategic connection with Europe, describing these actions as “war crimes”.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu spoke about the attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure that directly affected Moldova’s energy supply.
Highlighting the legal and humanitarian aspects of the attacks, Sandu said: “Russia’s attacks on civilian energy infrastructure in Ukraine are a war crime and an attack against all of us.”
Sharing the current situation in Moldova’s energy system, Sandu stated: “The nighttime attacks cut Moldova’s key energy connection with Europe. Alternative routes have been established, but the situation remains fragile.”
Expressing concern over the disruptions, Sandu added: “Responsibility lies solely with Russia.”
