According to CCTV, Brent crude, which had climbed above 113 U.S. dollars at the start of the session, fell below 100 dollars after U.S. President Donald Trump said that “productive talks had been held and the attacks had been postponed for 5 days.”

According to official data, after Iran swiftly denied that there had been any contact with the United States, market unease rose again and Brent prices climbed back to around 105 dollars.

In the European natural gas market, Netherlands-based TTF contracts fell from 63 euros to as low as 54 euros per megawatt-hour, then stabilized at 56 euros following Iran’s denial.

In the U.S. domestic market, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude saw a sharp drop during the session, falling from around 98 dollars to 84.37 U.S. dollars.

Analysts said diplomatic uncertainties continue to trigger supply security concerns in energy corridors and that price instability is persisting.
